Managed Print Services
What is Managed Print Services (MPS)?
MPS is a program where ABM takes over complete management of your print fleet - supplies, service, monitoring, and billing - for a predictable monthly cost. You stop buying toner reactively and stop guessing what printing actually costs you.
How does cost-per-page billing work?
You pay a fixed rate per page printed - typically $0.005-0.02 for black-and-white and $0.04-0.08 for color. We read your meter monthly (or automatically), invoice based on actual usage, and toner is included. No surprise supply bills.
What does a print assessment involve?
We audit your current devices, map where they sit relative to your team, pull usage data, and calculate your true cost per page. Most companies discover they're paying 2-3× more than they think. The assessment is free and takes about an hour on-site.
Do you service brands other than Sharp?
Yes - our service team handles most major brands (Ricoh, Konica Minolta, HP, Canon, Kyocera). However, for new placements, we recommend Sharp exclusively because of our Platinum dealer status and parts access.
What is your average response time for service calls?
Under 2.5 hours for the Fort Wayne metro area. We have local technicians and local parts inventory - we're not routing calls through a national dispatch center.
Can you take over service on our existing copiers?
In most cases, yes. We'll assess the devices first, and if they're worth maintaining, we'll write a service agreement. If they're end-of-life, we'll tell you that honestly and help you plan a replacement.
Copiers & Sharp Equipment
Why Sharp?
ABM is a Sharp Platinum dealer - top-tier authorized status. Sharp builds the full stack: the device, the firmware, the embedded app platform (Sharp OSA), and the cloud tools. For businesses running a Sharp fleet, that vertical integration means fewer compatibility issues and faster feature delivery.
What is the difference between the MX and BP series?
The MX series is Sharp's established mainstream MFP line - proven, widely supported, excellent for most business environments. The BP series is the next-generation refresh with an updated interface, better cloud integration, and improved service diagnostics. For new installations, we typically recommend BP.
What does an MFP do that a regular printer doesn't?
A multifunction printer (MFP) prints, copies, scans, and often faxes from one device. More importantly, modern MFPs like Sharp's BP series integrate with cloud storage, Active Directory, badge readers, and document management systems - making them a workflow hub, not just an output device.
How long does a copier lease typically run?
Standard terms are 36 or 60 months. ABM handles the lease paperwork and typically bundles the service agreement into the monthly payment so you have one predictable line item.
What happens at the end of a lease?
You can return the device, purchase it (usually at fair market value), or roll into a new lease with updated equipment. We contact you 6 months out so you're not caught off guard.
Do you sell Sharp AQUOS Board interactive displays?
Yes. ABM sells and installs the full AQUOS Board line - 65" through 86" 4K interactive displays. We configure them with Synappx Go for one-touch wireless connection to your Sharp MFPs and your meeting room calendar system.
Document Lifecycle
What is document lifecycle management?
Every document your business creates has a lifecycle: it's captured, processed, stored, accessed, and eventually destroyed. Document lifecycle management ensures each stage is controlled, auditable, and compliant - especially for regulated industries like healthcare, legal, and finance.
Do you replace document management software like Square 9?
We can. ABM offers a custom document management and OCR indexing solution built for the specific needs of our MPS customers - capture from Sharp MFPs, auto-index, cloud storage integration, and retention scheduling. It's designed to replace expensive per-seat software with a simpler, service-included model.
What industries have the most complex document compliance needs?
Healthcare (HIPAA), legal (client confidentiality + discovery holds), finance (SOX, FINRA), education (FERPA), and government contractors (ITAR, CUI). If you're in any of these, your document practices are a liability if they're not managed.
Can ABM help us go paperless?
We can help you significantly reduce paper - but "fully paperless" is rarely the right goal for most businesses. We focus on digitizing the workflows that create the most friction: approvals, intake forms, shared documents, and archival records.
Fleet Management
What is fleet management for printers?
Fleet management means proactively monitoring every device in your print environment - toner levels, drum life, error states, page counts, and network status - so issues are caught before they cause downtime. ABM uses proprietary monitoring tools that alert us (and you) the moment something needs attention.
How do you collect meter reads?
Automatically. Our monitoring agent polls your devices directly on your network and reports page counts to our platform. No more emailing meter reads, no more manual entry. The data feeds directly into your monthly invoice.
What happens when a device goes offline in your monitoring system?
We get an alert. Depending on your agreement, we'll reach out proactively before you even notice. For critical devices (like a production MFP), we can trigger an immediate service call.
Do you support multi-site fleets?
Yes - this is one of our strengths. We manage fleets across multiple locations from a single dashboard, giving you visibility across all sites while we handle local service in the Fort Wayne region and coordinate vendor service outside it.
A/V, CRaaS & Collaboration
What is CRaaS (Conference Room as a Service)?
CRaaS is a subscription model for your conference room technology - Sharp AQUOS Board display, video conferencing hardware, wireless presentation, and integration with your calendar system - bundled into one monthly fee with ABM handling setup, support, and eventual refresh.
What is Synappx Go?
Synappx Go is Sharp's cloud workflow platform. It lets you walk up to a Sharp MFP or AQUOS Board with your phone, authenticate via QR code or NFC, and access your personal workflows (scan-to-cloud, print release, meeting room connect) without logging into the device. It's the glue between Sharp devices and your Microsoft 365 environment.
Can the AQUOS Board work with Zoom or Microsoft Teams?
Yes. The AQUOS Board supports native Teams Rooms deployment and Zoom Rooms via an attached compute module. ABM configures this as part of installation - it's not a DIY setup.
What size room is the AQUOS Board right for?
A 65" board works well for rooms seating 4-8 people. A 75" or 86" is better for larger conference rooms or training spaces. ABM does a quick room assessment before recommending a size.
Do you handle the installation and mounting?
Yes. ABM handles mounting, cabling, device configuration, calendar integration, and staff training. You don't need to coordinate a separate AV installer.
Dynabook Laptops & Tablets
What is Dynabook and how does it relate to Sharp?
Dynabook is Sharp's business laptop and tablet brand - formerly Toshiba's laptop division, acquired by Sharp in 2018. It carries 30+ years of business laptop engineering with Sharp's hardware quality standards and security certifications.
Which Dynabook series is right for my team?
Portégé (ultralight, executive), Tecra (rugged, field professionals), Satellite Pro (mid-range, general office), E Series (education, high-volume enterprise). ABM can match your team's specific use cases to the right model.
Are Dynabook laptops available for volume purchase?
Yes. ABM handles volume procurement, configuration (image deployment, domain join, software pre-install), and asset tagging. Contact us for volume pricing.
Billing & Service
How does ABM bill for service?
Most customers are on a bundled agreement: lease payment + service included, billed monthly. Consumables (toner, drums) are included under MPS agreements. Ad-hoc service outside a contract is billed at our standard time-and-materials rate.
What is included in a service contract?
All labor, all parts, all consumables (under MPS), and preventive maintenance visits. Accidental damage (dropped devices, liquid spills) is excluded unless specifically added.
How do I submit a service request?
Call (260) 744-4259, email [email protected], or submit a request on our website at abmfw.com/support. Our dispatch team responds within 30 minutes during business hours.
Who do I call if my copier is down right now?
Call (260) 744-4259. Our team answers directly - no call center. If it's outside business hours and you have a critical-down situation, leave a message and a technician will return your call.
Does ABM offer financing?
Yes - through our leasing entity and third-party financing partners. Terms from 24 to 60 months. We can structure payments to match your fiscal year or budget cycles. Ask about financing when you request a quote.
Office Furniture
Does ABM sell office furniture?
Yes. ABM sells a full range of commercial office furniture - conference room tables and chairs, sit-stand desks, executive seating, lobby and reception furniture, and open-plan workstations. We deliver and install locally in Fort Wayne and northeast Indiana.
Do you sell conference room furniture?
Conference rooms are our primary furniture focus. We sell conference tables, boardroom chairs, presentation credenzas, and mobile furniture that pairs with Sharp AQUOS Board displays and our CRaaS packages - so your room technology and furniture ship from one vendor on one timeline.
Do you sell sit-stand desks?
Yes. ABM carries electric height-adjustable sit-stand desks in single-user and benching configurations. Contact us with your headcount and we'll quote a package.
Does ABM handle furniture delivery and installation?
Yes. Delivery, assembly, and installation are included. We coordinate with your schedule so furniture arrives when the space is ready - including coordination with Sharp device installation if you're doing a full conference room build-out.
Can furniture be bundled into a lease?
Often yes. ABM can bundle office furniture into equipment lease agreements so you have one monthly payment covering devices and furniture. Ask about this option when requesting a quote.
